Sorry that I haven't posted here in over a year; I'm an impulsive intermittent blogger and if the mood doesn't strike, I've been known to go a year without a post.

Repeating my New Year's post from 2007, these are my thoughts of 2008 - now that it's 75% over:

Things I learned this year
1. I learned how to sew from a pattern and how to make cheese from scratch!
2. Even if you are unaware of it, or don't think that people are watching you...they are. Conversation about you goes on outside of your sphere of awareness, frequently.

People I met
1. A few new friends, some of which have lasted, some who haven't; some were online, some were not.

Things I don't want to take with me into 2009
1. The manifestations I'm seeing of the aging process...
2. Frustration over unresolved wishes.

Things I want to hold close as I pass into 2009
1. My strong relationships with my spouse, children and friends.
2. Growing economic stability.

Things I'm looking forward to in 2009
1. A continuation of the gradual crawl back into the Middle Class that began more than five years ago.
2. Building a new relationship or two into solid ones.

Things that were life changing in 2008
1. Finding and exchanging emails with the first girl I ever liked in my life, 27 years later.
2. Watching my child become an adult.

Things you hope to accomplish by the end of 2009
1. To reduce my total debt by 50% from where it was last year.
2. Maintaining all other factets of my life as they are or better, because I am still blessed to have very little to complain about.

Your biggest accomplishment in 2008?
Completing my tenure in two Barony offices without any stumbles to mention; getting my nose fixed...finally.

Your biggest failure in 2008?
Complacency; I fell into a comfortable pattern, which bred sloth - which I abhor.

What is one fear you’d like to overcome in 2009?
Fear of roaches. Still.

Are you going to make any major changes to your blog for 2009?
Given my tendency to post about once per year, if I make any changes at all, it will be to blog more...still.

What is one new thing you’d like to learn this coming Year?
How to make parchment from rawhides; I'd like to learn how to fight heavy and not lose 99% of the time.

If you could do ONE thing this year and NOT get chastised by, or for it, what would you do?
I would take a month off of work and catch up on each and every chore, project and hobby queued up in my head.

If you could really, and actually, meet one blogger in 2007, who would you want to meet?
I would want to meet 'bslawgirl'@blogspot, because everyone else I know in the blogging world I also know in person.

Name a GOOD habit you’d like to start in 2007.
To keep flossing - perhaps to be more consistent at it.
